Some institutions are built on bricks and mortar. Maharaja Anangpal Public School was built on something far more enduring — the spirit of a king who chose wisdom over a crown. Named in honour of Maharaja Anangpal Ji, the legendary ruler of Delhi who surrendered his mighty throne and chose the quiet soil of Sonkh as his final home, our school carries forward a legacy that is centuries old and yet entirely alive today. Maharaja Anangpal Ji was not simply a king. He was a guardian of values — a man who placed duty, devotion, and community above personal power. After passing his kingdom to Prithviraj Chauhan, he came to Loriha Patti, Sonkh, established the Kuldevi temple, and spent his remaining days in service and simplicity. That same spirit — of giving, of building, of nurturing — is the very foundation on which M.A.P.S. stands. Every child who walks through our gates inherits this legacy. We do not merely teach students to pass examinations. We raise them to lead lives of purpose — just as the great Maharaja himself did.
Who We Are
Maharaja Anangpal Public School, fondly known as M.A.P.S., is a CBSE-affiliated English medium co-educational school located on a lush 2.6-acre green campus in Loriha Patti, Sonkh, Mathura. Established under the aegis of Baba Patiram Educational Society, M.A.P.S. was born from a singular dream — to bring world-class education to the heart of rural Mathura, without compromise. We are more than a school.
